STATICALLY DETERMINATE BEAMS-

A beam is statically determinate if the equations of static equilibrium alone are sufficient to determine the reactions of the beam.

Statically determinate problems are those, which can be solved by equations of static equilibrium alone.

                                          ΣFx = 0 and ΣFy = 0.
